Mint Flavoured Rice/Pudina Rice.


Hi friends,This is a very simple and easy cooking meal.I learnt this recipe from my Mother; and started cooking for every weekend.My friends and my hubby really enjoys the aroma of mint.This dish will be done under in 20 mins with few simple ingredients.Simple,Fragrance full and tasty quick fix rice.You can have this dish for your "Potluck" parties So here goes the recipe.
Ingredients:
  • Pudina leaves-1 bunch
  • Scallion-4 finely choped
  • Onion -1 chopped lengthwise
  • Garam masala-1 tsp
  • Green chillies-4 (Slit in Lengthwise)
  • Cashewnuts-6
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil-1tbsp
  • Ginger/Garlic paste-1tsp
Preparation:
  • Take a pan and heat it;once it get heated add oil to it.
  • Add Spring Onions,Onions ,Green chillies and make them fry til they become transparent.
  • Add Cashewnuts to the above mix and fry them too.
  • After the onions get cooked,add mint leaves and turn with Spatula to cook for 2mins.
    Now add Garam masala and mix it well.
  •   Finally,add Ginger/Garlic Paste and cook it for 2mins.
  • Take a large vessel and add cooked rice in to it by adjusting salt.
  • Add all these Mint Masala.
  • Serve Hot with Raita or Plain Yogurt/Curd and enjoy the day.
