Peanut Masala ~ Veru Sanakkayala Mixture

In India ,the Peanuts are used to make different varieties of Snack items like Roasting it,boiling in a water with salt,Preparing sweets like Pappundalu ,Pappu Chekka and so many items.While travelling our Journey in trains,almost the passengers gets timepass by having the peanuts by the sellers in the train.Even kids like when they are boiled or roasted.So ,today I am posting this for the Kids.

Ingredients:
  • Groundnuts/Peanuts- 1 cup
  • Onions-1/2 cup chopped
  • Red Chillypowder-1/2 tsp
  • Lemon juice-1 tbsp
  • Cilantro/Kothimeer leaves- few handful
  • Grated Carrot-1tbsp
  • Salt to taste
Method:
  • Soak the Groundnuts / Peanuts in a water for whole night.
  • Clean the soaked Peanuts onetime with water.
  • Shift these in to a pressure cooker by adding salt and  water ,allow to cook for 3 whistles.
  • You can also cook directly in a vessel.
  • Once all the peanuts are cooked ,take this in to a big Vessel.
  • Add the chopped Onions,Salt,Red Chilly powder,Lemon juice and mix up well with a spatula.
  • Finally garnish with Kothimeer and grated Carrot and serve it in a bowl for kids.
Notes:
  • Elders or Parents can add the Green peppers or Green chilies to the Peanut Masala for spicy.
