Bread Cutlet

I like almost any variety of Cutlets .When the Bread packet is not completing for many days in the home ,I used to prepare Cutlets with Bread pieces at evening time.Soon my Kid and Hubby finishes the plate without any piece left.Not only they both, I too like to eat hot hot Bread cutlets quickly with sauce and curd.This can be served not only as a snack item ,goes well as a side dish too.So friends ,you would also try this and enjoy .

  • Bread pieces- 6
  • Boiled potatoes- 3no
  • Onions- 1 chopped
  • Red Chillipowder-1tsp
  • Garammasala-1/2tsp
  • Dhaniya powder/Coriander powder-1/2tsp
  • Haldi/Turmeric powder- a pinch
  • Ginger/Garlic paste-1/2tbsp
  • salt to taste
  • Lemonjuice-1tbsp
  • Tasty salt/Ajinomotto- a pinch
  • Grated Carrot-2tbsp
  • Frozen Green peas-1tbsp
  • Oil/Butter - to fry cutlets
  • Coriander /Kothimeer/Cilantro leaves- few handful
  • Water -little
  • Cornflour/Breadpowder- little

  • Take a bowl ,add the potatoes and mash it with hands.
  • Add the chopped onions and mix it with all the above masalas and form a mixture.
  • Add the Coriander leaves,Greenpeas,Lemon juice  & Grated Carrot to the mixture and keep it a side.
  • Now take a large cup pour water in to it.
  • Remove or cut the edges of the bread slices and wet them in the water.
  • Squeeze the excess water with the help of your palms.
  • Mix these wet breads to the mixture kept a side.
  • Now take a lemon ball size from the mixture and press it with your hand .
  • Sprinkle or dip the pressed one into the bread powder/Cornflour.
  • Heat the pan ,and place the Cutlet and roast it well by applying oil /butter to all sides.
  • Turn it with a spatula or spoon and roast it till it turns in golden in color.
  • Make all the Bread cutlets with the mixture.
  • Serve it in to a plate and taste it with a Tomato sauce and Curd.
