Teacher'sDay



 "Teacher is the Keen Observation & Imagination of the Student."

The National Education Association (NEA) describes National Teacher day as"a day for honoring teachers and recognizing the lasting contributions they make to our lives".In some countries Teacher's Days are intended to be special days for appreciation of teachers.World Teacher'sDay is celebrated across the world on October 5th,with great verve and Enthusiasm.Since the importance of teachers has been recognized by UNESCO,by adopting the "Recommendation concerning the status of teachers".Worls Teacher's Day has been celebrated anually.This includes celebrations to honor the teachers for their special contribution in aparticular field area or the comunity in general.Teacher's Day is a National Holiday in some countries.Different countries celebrates this day in different dates.

                                            India has been clebrating the Teacher's Day on 5th September since 1962.The day Commemorates the birthday of Dr.Sarvepalli RadhaKrishnan[ 5th september 1888] ,a Philosopher,a teacher , and his contribution towards Indian Education System ,and second president of India.It is considered a "Celebration" day ,where teachers and students report to school as usual,but the usual activities and classes are replaced by activities of Celebration,Thanks and Rememberance.

                                            Dr.Radha Krishnan believed that "Teachers should be the best minds in the country".The birthday of Dr.Sarvepalli Radha krishnan  came to be celebrated as Teacher's Day ,when Oneday,some of his students and friends requested him to allow them to celebrate his birthday.In reply,Dr.RadhaKrishnan said"Instead of celebrating my birthday separately,it would be my proud privilege ,If September 5th is observed as Teacher's Day".From then onwards september 5th is observed as Teacher's Day all across India.Teachers'DAy is very important for all the people in India,as the teachers act as foundation for creating responsible citizens and good human beings.It is impossible to imagine our lives without teachers.They are the Cornerstone of our future Teacher's day is celebrated to show our acknowledgement and recognition of the hardwork put in by our teachers towards our development.

                                         Schools allover India celebrate Teacher's Day by allowing the senior students as taking the responsibility of teaching to Juniors as Teachers for a day.It is a fun-filled activity which is enjoyed by both the acting teachers and their Junior students.On this day,Students bring Gifts for their most admired teachers as well. It is an equally special day for teachers ,as they get to know how much they are liked and appreciated by their students.Gifts to teachers include Flowers ,Pens, Hand kerchiefs ,PhotoFrames and other Gift items.Some Students also write poems and messages for teachers.Students arrange a small Treat for all their Teachers by allowing them to get seated in  a chair,wearing them Garland,sprinkling Fragrances ,and having blessings from them.Students allow to cut a Cake by Head of The administration .Some Cultural activities are done by students like Singing,Dance ,Ellocation,Essay Writing etc .Prizes are distributed for those who wins.Students also Conduct some fun activities between their Teachers, as to remind their schooldays.Some Teachers Nostalgic.Sweet distribution is done during this day to all the students by their teachers.

                                           Students Look forward to Teacher's Day with a lot of anticipation ,for the sheer spirit of  the Occasion.Acting as Teachers,they get a fair idea of the responsibility,so efficiently burdened by their teachers.It requires a lot of hardwork and dedication to be a good teacher and earn the fondness of the students .All in all ,it is Celebration mode for everyone.On this day,we gratefully remember the great educationist,apart from honoring all the teachers that have made our life much more knowledgeable and fulfilled,as serving as our beacons of light.
