Ingredients:
- Blackchanna/Kala channa-1 cup(Soaked in water for whole night)
- Green chilies-2 (finely chopped)
- Onion-1 (Finely chopped)
- Cilantro/Kothimeer-few handfuls to garnish
- Dry coconut powder/Fresh coconut powder-2tsp
- salt to taste
- Carrot-1 grated
- Lemon juice-2tsp
- Turmeric-a pinch (Optional)
- Oil-2tsp
- Aavalu-1tsp
- Cumin seeds-1tsp
- Dry red chilli-1
- Curyleaves-3
- Boil the soaked Black channa in avessel or in the pressure Cooker (for 4 whistles) by adding sufficient water and salt.
- Boil them till they become soft and keep it aside to get cool.
- Now Heat a pan ,add oil to it.
- Add Aavalu,Cumin seeds when they start crackles, add Green chillies,turmeric,Dry redchilli in to it and turn with a Spatula or Cooking Stick.
- Now add these Tadka to the Cooled Kalachana.
- Take it in to a bowl and garnish with coconut,carrot and Cilantro
- Serve it by sprinkling Lemonjuice on the Top and enjoy.
- You can offer this dish as "Naivedyam".And do not add onions.
